  The guy who got his legs cut off, actually survived the accident, the one who did the cutting bled out before he hit the ground. A terrible accident, I believe the jumpers were members of some American Forces jumping team.

I saw this in BBC in year 1998, i think this is their 3rd try to make sign of "X" after 2nd (which is also successful ) but they want to make one more and so one guy died and one lose his leg
