These beauties have been on the edge of extinction for years due to the excessive hunting and killing of them, especially since Jaws was released. Damn you Peter Benchley and Stephen Spielberg!

There demise through man must have come about because of humans inherent fear of them.To be quite honest I can understand man's fear as they are like something out of a horror film really and as far as I am concerned they are surviving dinosaurs of the oceans but this is a reason and not an excuse.It would be a very sad day if they were wiped out and the effects on the eco-system would be catstrophic,I mean how many creatures out in the oceans can deal with a whale carcass?

Not all of these sharks are great whites. The sharks at 51 and 53 sec are "ragged tooth sharks," also known as a sand tiger shark. The shark riding the wave is a lemon shark.
