2011 year will see the 10th anniversary of Coloursfest, Scotland’s longest running dance event. Coloursfest is held on the first Saturday in June every year since it’s launch in 2002. It brings together 10,000 clubbers and clubland’s hottest brands, with just a few superstar DJs thrown in!
The line up for the 10th anniversary is quite simply the strongest line up we’ve ever had, with more big name DJs and brands that are all guaranteed to cause a full-on party. Just the way it should be for a 10th anniversary. There’s a few exclusives and debuts mixed in with the return of some of the scenes biggest names, a perfect mix to provide just what you want from Coloursfest. We’ve provided the DJs, we hope the Gods above provide the weather, now all we need is for you to join in and we’ve got a great event in store!
The MAIN ARENA will be hosted by Colours and we’re very proud of the line up on offer. FERRY CORSTEN & EDDIE HALLIWELL will headline the arena, giving the crowd 2 different, yet both brilliant, styles of trance. FERRY CORSTEN will return to the main arena after his headline performance at Coloursfest’09 when he brought his ‘Twice in a Blue Moon’ show to Braehead Arena. EDDIE HALLIWELL will be making a much-awaited return to the Coloursfest Main Arena after a 4-year absence. Eddie’s electric energy and showmanship behind the decks will ensure event go off in full fire style! GARETH EMERY also returns after his stunning debut last year. JUDGE JULES will play a main room set as well as a set on his own arena outside. MARCEL WOODS will bring the musical madness to the main arena and CLAUDIA CAZACU will make her Coloursfest debut. As a very special guest, we are extremely proud to bring man of the moment DASH BERLIN to Coloursfest & Scotland for the very first time. Dash Berlin has been the most requested DJ of the past year so we know that there’s more a few thousand of you that will give this man the best night of his life when he appears behind the decks.
ARENA 2 is the debut of our very own brand ‘HOUSE OF COLOURS’. When it comes to house music, Colours have been bringing you the biggest & best DJs since our STREETrave days over 20 years ago. House music is something that’s been synonymous with Colours and we continue to raise the bar with the array of DJs we book over the years. To celebrate one of the founding styles of music, we’re hosting a brand new arena at this years Coloursfest 10th Anniversary. The ‘House of Colours’ Arena will be held in a BIGGER THAN USUAL MARQUEE filled with top international DJs playing you the biggest & phattest house tunes of the past 10 years. PETE TONG will headline the arena and the legendary Radio 1 DJ will bring the finest slices of house music available. Dirty Dutch DJ CHUCKIE will make his Coloursfest debut after gathering a massive Scottish fan base following his shows at The Arches and warming up for David Guetta at Colours Summer Party 2010. ROBBIE RIVERA and new guys SUNNERY JAMES & RYAN MARCIANO are the other big names who’ll be ticking all your boxes. We’ll be saying ‘Hello’ to a very special guest MARTIN SOLVEIG as the French DJ sets things alight in the huge marquee. And finally, a Colours house arena wouldn’t be the same without a set from our 2 residents JON MANCINI & GIOVANNI FERRI.
The OUTDOOR ARENA will be hosted legendary Ibiza club night JUDGEMENT SUNDAYS. Ibiza has never been the same since Judgement Sunday invaded the island over 10 years ago and Coloursfest’s 10 Anniversary is extremely proud to have Judge Jules super brand host the outdoor arena. The line up is enough to rival any main room with some of the hottest acts in trance. Of course a Judgement Sunday line up isn’t complete without a set from the main man JUDGE JULES so expect big tunes from the legendary Radio 1 DJ. COSMIC GATE, SIMON PATTERSON, RICHARD DURAND & AVATARS are the other DJs that are gonna make sure the outdoor arena is the only place to be when the sun is shining.
The BACK TO THE FUTURE ARENA is without doubt the highlight of the event for thousands of people that attend Coloursfest. The queue starts to form as soon as the gates swing open as people make their way up to the unique sweaty space to bounce along to all things hard dance. This is the pace to be if you like hardstyle, hardcore and everything else in between. HEADHUNTERZ, TATANKA & DJ ISAAC are the international hardstyle DJs who will be bringing the noise to the BTTF Arena. TOMMYKNOCKER & ENDYMION will be representing the international gabber DJs.
