The lion
did what comes naturally to pain . What you can't see from this camera angle , is that the dolt closest to the lion inadvertantly kneels on the lion's paw . This is a VERY sensitive spot on the lion . I assisted with some training of exotic animals , including a lion . When they are well fed , they are relatively lethargic and easy to pet or touch (if they are behind bars.) You can see the lion was very happy to be stroked and petted up until he was hurt . If he really wanted to kill the boy , he would be dead VERY quickly . The lion was just in pain and got angry.
