This is a Pit Bull going through police dog training.
I've been a K9 handler for 5 years and I've NEVER seen any police agency openly demonstrate aggression training as seen here. It's an act of irresponsibility and gives credence to the argument from those who believe that police K9s are nothing more than blood-thirsty land sharks. I didn't see any uniforms or police vehicles, so I have to think this is video of a private vendor doing aggression work.
By dogindacar 1160018337 Reply Spam [+7] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveAn amazing lack of control - I personally would never venture into agression training until my dog were already rock-solid in obedience. This one won't even "out"! A word about "pit bull" type dogs: they learn "out" just as easily as anyone else. These dogs work exceptionally well in SAR and therapy due to qualities like high pain thresholds (useful when a cane drives straight through a little paw!), exuberance, devotion, tenacity, and fearlessness.
By audreyannlow 1166256437 Reply Spam [+4] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethe police dont train the dogs themselves... people raise the dogs like this, they are taught to be as mean as they have to be but turn to a puppy in a heartbeat with whatever signal they were trained to obey.
its a lot better to be treated for a dog bite then to be shot, thats just my opinion
Generally, law enforcement officers or agencies don't train their own dogs. Only in rare situations do police agencies purchase a "green" dog and train them. This video doesn't appear to be one of those situations. My experience as a handler has shown me that it is in poor taste-and a liability-to demonstrate a patrol dog's bitework. It's sorta like carrying a concealed weapon off-duty..you know that you have the equipment and training to face a bad situation, but you dont show it off. Police dogs have a bad reputation already. One rarely sees a news report about a police K9 finding narcotics or a lost person, but the media takes a k9 apprehension (bite) and puts it all over the news. My point was that the dog in this video is already trained and his aggression is (in very poor taste) being put on display.

Not your country, not your dog, not your business.
As for the dog. I thought it was fast and effective certainly a good preventative measure against kidnap, R**e or robbery in a place like Russia or SA
i am amazed at how ignorant people are when it comes to this breed of dog.

very protective
Just punch it in the nose. it will blind it from pain and it will open it's jaws. offcourse that will make it more agry but still will pain like crazy.
By Peugeot 100 Modified 1162576781 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveWorks with most breeds of dog but not on "game" pit bulls. It is also hard to punch a pit on the nose when it is shaking you around lol.
And for all you people wondering how the pit bull gets its strong bite, it is not especially strong in the jaw just quite. It's power comes from its strong neck muscles (ever seen dog fighter hanging heavy chains around their necks) and wonder why: and also most importantly "THE WILL TO BITE HARD"
Dogs can not lock their jaws, they can hold them shut but they do not actualy lock shut. LOCKJAW is a myth...
By Ignorance destroyer 1142286076 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYour spot on with your comment regarding the locking of the jaw, pit bull type dogs have a very stong bite due to breeding and large jaw muscles but do not actually lock there jaw this action is only performed by Badgers which have a hinge like grove in there jaws which actually causes the jaw to lock in place.
By gooch_s 1174689894 Reply Spam [+1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removestaffies, pitties, and many mastiff/ bull dog derivatives get lockjaw, it only happens rarely but requires surgery to fix. maybe you dhould research what you rave on about!
lockjaw is a disease. also known as tetnis. read up on it sometime. The dogs cannot lock thier jaw. If you find one that can let me know because you will have discovered a new species.
They do have very powerful jaws and are very persistant. but nope no locking jaws

this is not an "ability" a pit can turn off and on, it is a disease that is uncontrollable.
By howboutno 1168777676 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveI just looked @ a skull of a pit, it has a clearly defined secondary groove 4 the jaw 2 rest in when in the bite position.
The bull and mastiff breeds r harder 2 train, but once they've learned they don't forget!
The dog in the video is clearly out of control and not suitable for use near the general public!
Dogs, no matter what type of breed or size the breed is or whatever DO NOT have lock jaw. Pit bull dogs are most certainly not a stupid breed. They are very intelligent, easy to train, loyal. What im saying is if you properly train your pit he will be the best dog you will ever have. All dogs can be aggressive if thats how they are trained.
Please people, get your facts right before you go shouting your mouths off.

i donoo who put this up as a police dog training.. but thier wrong.. its just regular russian dog training... not aggression. just guard dogs for home.
By nos_1549 1190054663 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveCompare with German Shepherds, Dobermans, Rottweilor, or etc, they are all in control to be K9.
Differently, this pitbull was showing something out of control. In other word, this breed is so damn stupid. The aggressive things are their job.
It will be interesting to see if this breed of dog will make in in the police force. They would be perfect for attacking, and being loyal. However, they because of their breeding, won't let go easily (or mabe at all,).They can also cause serious bodily damage. The jaws can actually lock shut.
