    .....put it in water, mud,sand, sh@t,it won't jum and keep working. I canot say the same for the M16, not to forget that the AK47 like the FN both 7.62 are made for kill but the M16 is for causing wounds.

      The AK is durable... powerful with the larger cal. bullet... yes. But it is as accurate as a blind 1-legged dog trying to mount a husky b i t c h in heat.

      The M16 has an even further range than the M4... therefore a higher muzzle velocity. At any rate, the M4A1, A2, the M16A1 or A2 are not for wounding. If you'd like I'll do some target practice with an AK on your friend, then with the M16 on you. If I shot you both in the stomach, you'd both be dead. It's not a 'wounding' weapon.

      i have to disagree with you!there is technique of shooting with the AK47 and if you don't know it it is not accurate.But if you do ...well in the millitary service i get to shoot 5-7 of ten bullets in the 800 meters target (a human figure),and before i learn how to shoot i coudn't even hit the 100 m target 1 of ten.

      Put Ak74 or AK47 through sand, water and dirt, and it will still fire. Accurately. And when using muzzles with offset centre of gravity, if you hit someone, it will turn their insides into mash....

    Military weapons are training specific.
    If you have an ill trained army then you need a weapon like the AK47 ..
    it's cheap and easy to maintain and it basic function is to spray and pray.... it puts a lot of rounds in the air.
    If you have a better trained army then you equip them with a weapon like the M4 or M16 rifle ...they cost more and they tend to need more maintenance but they can reach out and touch you with out wasting a lot of ammo..
    Being a smaller caliber means you can carry more ammo and you can stay in the fight longer.

    It's a clumsy weapon..not acurate..as the M4A1..it's lighter..recoil is smaller..and it's more acurate.. but jams more..

    the iner workings of the gun are gr8. im glad to see how the system reloads with the back preashure after eatch shot. it uses the bullets exit force kind of like a reverse cannon. to reload it;self. this is ingenious. but i still say the bullets are outdated. and at best a primative way to attack. but things are evolving to sound and light. ideas are cool. use sonic frequncy to have unlimated amo. at the price of a verry hot reverburator mechanisim. the idea is cool. look up sonic cannon ideas. it;s a wepon that can use laser like presision. no reload and no backfires.

    ...it better is that it is easy and inexpensive to manufacture, it uses a larger caliber round than the M-16 and it is not as temperamental as the M-16. What most people don't know is the AK is patterned after a machine gun used by the Germans during WW2.

      ...it's cheap and easy to operate and maintain doesn't make it a superior weapon. Accuracy is more important. Who cares if your AK works with sand in it if you can't shoot a target from 50 meters.
      While the M series requires more TLC, it is vastly superior in maximum effective range.

      .... a person with an AK on my squad... but definitely not everyone. The AK is meant to send bullets down range... not be precise. Google some more video experiments on it... It's barrel is floppy when fired automatically. If you want to make swiss cheese, then get an AK. IF you want to take someone down from far away, get an M16.

      it is the Stg44, looks a little similar, not very though. Ak is a good weapon and it is still in use after 60 years. Very accurate, 7.63x38(or 39)mm round, delivers alot of recoil though. Very very reliable weapon, never jams

    My father is caprain in the Army i he said that AK47 can fire 3 bullets in the same time...In Counter Strike you cannot fire with Burst Fire because AK47 will be the most powerful weapon in the game..without the Burst Fire it still is the most powerful :D
