  • ok, here goes

    1. Fill up 3 gal bucket, pour into 5 gal bucket. Fill up 3 again, pour into 5 until full, leaving one gallon in 3 gallon bucket. Dump 5 gallon bucket and add the one gallon into it. Fill 3 gallon bucket again and pour into 5 gallon bucket that currently holds one gallon. Now you have 4 gallons.
    2. entire ship should travel same distance.
    3. He makes a box of appropriate length, but thick enough to allow swords to be placed inside at an angle.
