    Please do not practice this trick. It is a kind of heat shock. Although it does not burn the finger tip but may cause subatantial damage or change to DNA, which is much more dangerous than the burning.

      because your tongue is wet and if you have enough spit in your mouth it will not burn, just like how people can "shotgun" a cigarette it sometimes actully will touch there tongue or something else and it wont burn

    srry to say it but this is a bad idea. you can still burn yourself even if you cant feel it. It's the same kinda thing if you have frostbite that you shouldnt run your hand is hot water. even though you cant feel it burning you, it is still burning your skin

      Us humans describe "hurt" as the act of feeling pain; therefore, when your finger is numb and you do something to it that'd normally inflict pain, it doesn't "hurt" because the nerve endings are numbed out.
