They are shooting rodents.
Geez, ask questions, will ya? Open your eyes!
They shoot animals for fun.
I have a freezer full of venison, so i am very hunting friendly, just that i believe you eat what you kill.
Don't believe me?

How many rodents wear turbans and sit up like humans. I think that you need your operator headspace and timing adjusted.

By matbo 1169000144 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThese are canadian snipers not marines. But yes they did have to collect the bullets after to use again. GOD BLESS AMERICAS WAR OF TERROR!!
By There'll be spunken! 1163366085 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYou said it. War OF terror. I am pretty sure they call it War ON terror themselves.
By TheNiebur 1222047794 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removehow does the scope show you where the bullet will hit when it is actually placed an inch or two above the barrel. your not looking at where the gun is aimed, your looking at a spot above where its aimed. if someone knows the answer please respond
By panthersfootball 1163210497 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveA rifle with a scope is "adjusted" (zeroed) in test shooting before the serious thing. The down-ward-bending bullet trajectory and the vision line thru the scope are not coherent but they cross at the zeroed distance ( e.g. 300 meters). The shooter knows the trajectory drop at different shooting distances, and he corrects his scope by turning the elevation knob or by changing the point of aim in his scope reticle. In sniper shooting, where distances are long, the range estimation is essential.

By mackum5 1246486084 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethe round is probably a Win .308 or 7mm Rem mag.
By no-hyphens 1163051994 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveRegardless the use of a 50 cal. on humans is against the geneva convention. But either way those shots were very impressive.
By sureitis 1161225673 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveG.C. does state that a .50cal against a human isn't allowed. But you can use it against EQUIPTMENT. Such as shooting at his hat, shirt, jacket, pants, etc. Get the picture. Also, the G. C. is used when BOTH sides agree to those rules of engagement. Since terrorest don't follow them, we don't either.

By Blknight72 1172857368 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveThe Geneva Convention... Does it say anything about using a caliber 2.000.000 bomb on humans????????
By OzymandiasDK2 1225726164 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveUse of any device that is intended to cause undue pain and suffering IS indeed against the Geneva Convention. A .50 caliber does not cause undue pain and suffering. In fact, a person struck by a .50 caliber round is unlikely to feel anything; They will simply cease to exist. You do not have to believe me, research it yourself.
By Lawdogs1 1225463052 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYou are right, restrictions of the geneva convention were put onto heavy rounds- For certain things of course. I'm sure you are well aware that the Geneva convention was held after the first great war. Also, at this time, the .50 cal. was not at all developed for a sniper round. Sure, the round was used on some American tanks in the second world war- It was used to prevent enemy infantry from boarding the tanks, among other things. However--- similar rounds, like the classic, "Kraut" 20 millimeter, is somewhat paralel to our .308(which is used on people).... This round (20 mill.) was used on Our boys- the American infantry, also occasionally on low-flying aircraft. Of course it was powerful, I mean- they were trying to take down planes with them, and occasionally, with some success. I understand your point, and respect it very much, however you are slightly incorrect in the sence that you suggest that high powered rounds, (such as the .50 cal) are no longer used on infantry or people as you addressed them. And you are right, those were fine shots.
By Gunny737 1164146927 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeincase no one else noticed the second shot is a miss. notice the dust and the little four legged animal running away. yep thats a marine sniper alright.
By vantagepoint 1148790537 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removecan truly say u know?
Were you there, or where you perhaps the sniper himself?
i totaly agree
wtf is he shooting at
By JimRaynor 1146092577 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down RemoveYou called it an assasin rifle, as assasin is supposed to do a quick, clean job, not blow people to bits with a .50 rifle, which was designed for anti-material, a.k.a. anti-armour, purposes.
By invulnerable_pig 1145571916 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removethats one heack of a sniper rifle .
more like a cannon
But what the hell was he shooting at? Birds? Stones?
By berzerk47 1144957002 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removebut what exactly is he shooting at and blowing to pieces?
By dougiefresh27 1142136139 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removehe was shooting at a group of iraqi insurgents hiding in the mountains.
By kan 1144241464 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removewhat mountains in Iraq? there are mountains in afganistan i know that. last time i checked it was deserts and wadis. maybe i'm wrong though.
By vantagepoint 1148790744 Reply Spam [+0] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removepossibly even another sniper. However, he was using the typical 50 caliber assassin rifle.

By Renniks1008 1213490445 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Remove..
By mayfielddr 1209937959 Reply Spam [-1] Moderate Up Moderate Down Removeok...lets try to get this all sorted out.
First of all, it doesn't matter who is firing (Marine, Soldier, Sailor, Contractor, whatever). This is most likely a .50cal rifle judging by the damage its causing to what appear to be human targets. If you don't like that they are shooting humans, then don't go on the internet and search for "sniper" videos.
Second, an assassin is someone who kills a specific person for a specific reason. How they do it is up to them or the people who send them. It doesn't have to be quiet, clean, or quick.
Third, one of the first posts talked about the difference between the optic / sights of a weapon and the barrel and how the bullet can hit the target. This is a difference of about 2in on most weapons. The bullet will have two points of intersection with the line of sight of the optic: imagine a sun barely coming over a horizon. Now, each of the two intersections are were the point of aim and point of impact are the same. You set one of those points (typically the far one) to a certain distance by adjusting the elevation / windage on an optic or sights. So anyway, the bullet comes out of the barrel below the point of aim, crosses the point of aim and continues going up...comes back down and crosses again.
Fourth, "sniper, sniping, sniped" are terms that people here seem to be just tossing around. All it means is a person trained in long-range marksmanship. And to the guy who said "if he was Recon he'd want to hit him in the head for silent incapacitation," listen, if you are using a suppressed weapon at distance, where no one will see the guy die anyway, then maybe. In a valley where your rifle can be heard 4 clicks away...you aren't really being "silent."
FINALLY, the Geneva Conventions do not say you cannot use a .50 cal against human beings. Lets think practically: you are a private sitting on top of a HMMWV with a M2 .50cal machine gun and you take fire, you aren't going to respond with your .50cal? Why would we tell soldiers they cannot defend themselves? Yes there are weapons that are DESIGNED for different things, but the .50cal rifle is designed for anti personnel and anti materiel work.
i think thats it for now. If you want to know more about any of this, visit your local recruiter and do your time.

Learn to get your facts straight dimwits.
The prairie dogs are being shot with a 22-250. These are humans being shot. Maybe you should get a better monitor of something so you can see the clothing attached to the parts flying. Being shot by a .50 cal is about equivalant to being a prairie dog and being shot by a 22-250..... Moron.
