We have all seen the magic sand that appears to be waterproof. Finally you can make it at home for cheap. Original music by Big Blue Whale.
you changed the sand into a foil wraped tray?
did something bad happen?
I just didn't want my tray covered in Scotchgard when I was done. So after baking the sand, I poured it into a bowl and lined the pan with foil and poured the sand back onto the tray. It is a helpful tip and great observation!
By Smoke&Mirrors 1183486805I have some chinchilla dust left over from when I had a chinchilla. You think that would work? And since chinchillas can't have moisture on their skin, the sand may not have moisture in it, so would I need to bake it? Gonna try it either way.. but if anyone has an answer, please respond before I waste my time lol
By Guppie1337 1212516408I think most types of sand will work and I would assume that you do still need to bake it because there is minuscule and microscopic moist areas that you are trying to eliminate. So still bake it and spray it just to be safe.
By Smoke&Mirrors 1212516942Shortly after I did this with the chinchilla sand I realized it was pumice.. lulz.. it will float.. so it sucked.. I just took a trip to one of the local parks and picked some sand up there.. it worked fine.. considering I put like 20 coats on the sand lol
By Guppie1337 1212675641That episode of Futurama is pretty good, too.
