Compilation of some sparring video during the national sports week. You see some beginners and advanced Wing Chun students in this video. It is an impression of some sparring. You also see some Chi Sao in this video. Sparring is just a part of learning Wing Chun. You need to learn the basics, the principles, the techniques, forms, Chi Sao and of course sparring. Sparring is not only a way to test your skills but also a method of learning to deal with aggression and anger. Learn to control your feelings and keep calm and deal with it in a professonal way. We also like to invite you to come and train with us when you are in the Amsterdam area (Netherlands). We train Wing Chun in the Wang Kiu lineage.

  • Once again, thoroughly unimpressed by Wi...

I know it is a beginners/ demonstration video, but put any of these guys in an MMA style match, and watch as their rear-ends are handed to them. They have no ground skills, and that's where most fights end up. At least this wasn't as bad as the other Wing Chun video where the "Master" fake punches some wanker across the room.

    • Get out of your arm chair.

Go and learn a martial art, do a bit of research, see which ones right for you and go for it. If you`re already training then show a bit of respect for your fellow students.

    • Out of my Armchair?

If you knew my training regimen, you wouldn't say such. I've done my research, chosen a style, and it's not Wing Chun. I give respect where respect is due. A flashy and ineffective style such as Wing Chun deserves none. Enough said

    • How could you say that

There are to many wing-chun styles to say that it sucks. I practice wing-chun the wong shun leung system and i think it's the best one. It's stupid to say that most fights end up to the ground. I know off some guys at my gym that almost nobody can take them down, but that takes a lottttttt(years) of practice

    • This style

and this style is a style i don't like very much. They fight to much to the hands and do things that normally wouldn't work.
