fantastic bird of prey and yes they do normally take game this size the i have seen whilst hunting eagles in australia take lambs and small kangaroos the size of that deer you have to remember the eagle has about a 6 ft wing span and claws like ice picks and probally with the exception of the perigrine falcon the finest day time eyesight around .they are the most prolific predator on the planet except for man.being found on every continent there adaptability is the key to there sucsess.
