      there is a class you can take called critical thinking.. in that class, we watched a video of magicians and "fortune tellers" etc. being "debunked".. Uri Gellar was one of them... when at one point he was invited to a talk show and was not told that they wanted him to do a trick...hey carted out some spoons, forks, knives.. etc. that the producers had put together..     during the late 70s or early 80s there was a fellow that went around town doing this kind of crap. Johnny (sp?) Carson, a well known magician before his career change, invited the guy to be a guest on his show. During the show Carson brought out a whole bunch of silverware and cups. They guy was stumped and could not do anything. Carson called him on his crap. The guy...well I can't even remember his name.

      The guy's name was Uri Geller, who tried,(and is still trying),to convince naive sceintists that he had special powers. That is what makes him a fake. Criss Angel is a -magician- , he never claims to be anything else. Johnny Carson was able to make Geller look like an idiot because -Carson- was a magician, and he would -love- Angel's act. Close-up magic was Carson's favorite. Geller was a -very- sub-par performer, and tried to make up for it with fraud, Angel's ability is light-years beyond Geller. He might be the best.

      Geller is -fraud-, in addition to being a fake. That is the crucial difference. Fraud is a crime. It's just not worth pursuing in his case. Geller is poor magician.   • The materials

    used in the forks werent steel but something else, that would explain a few of them...
    The bending trick: he must have done using a fork that was made of two layers of different materials... when they heat up (he rubbed it between his hand and the girls hand) one expands at a different rate, and hence the fork bends.
    The vibration trick: the fork must have had a section made of lead, or some other soft metal that fatigued after a few hundred vibrations and broke off.

    Still he is pretty amazing, I've seen lots of his tricks and if u watch them only once, you can never tell how he does it. Great magician
