      Don't let the demonstrator discourage you (hes only two weeks into this exercise). I know he doesn't have the best physique but you'll notice once you try it how effective this exercise is.     I tried it and yea this does burn you bicep quite a bit (i did 3 sets) so i guess i was doin them right. now for 2 months i dont know but thats just me.
