Giant Garage Spider

they kinda look like it, but wolf spiders jump. that was nasty man. i also hate spiders. i live in arizona and a guy my dad works with told me of a day when he was at home nursing a broken leg. he felt some tickling on his left hand and saw a sun spider that covered his entire hand (and this is a BIG man). from what i understand, they look like a cross between a large turantula and a scorpion. his wife said she has never seen anyone move so fast on a broken leg :)

I don't mean to sound condescending at all - but that's a pretty damn small spider. I live in tropical Australia, used to live in the southern states. That spider doesn't look more than about 1.5"-2" across... which is a pretty normal size to local standards.

a Giant House spider, also know as a non-aggressive Wolf spider. they eat pretty much any bug or spider smaller than them (including roaches). i usually have about 5 of them every year living in my house, and i've never seen any bugs. it's also important to know that spiders do not attack people or pets unless they are threatened and have no other choice.

But that spider was pants.

Did you know arachnid (spiders and scorpions etc...) DNA is not even close to anything on earth, and since most things on earth are only different by a a marginal amount Arachnids can go into suspended animation in the right conditions they can last a long time... Arachnids are from space and are evol! The spider there was a wolf spider and the other was a female carrying her hundreds of babies on her back. Your male buddie was prolly trying to hide out and not pay child support. haha

looks like an aggressive house spider, they are very mean and will bite you without warning. They also move like this one did.

looks like a wolf and other one was female with babies as your wife noticed.Not fatal but you would have to seek medical attention.They run down there prey.good you let him go.

I grew up on a farm. This little weenie thing is nothing compared to a huge barn spider crawling on your neck, or what is commonly known as a Garden Spider. Spiders are good, they catch nasties like mosquitos, flys, centipedes, millipedes and many other undesirables. Buck up, welcome to Planet Earth.

I hope that you killed them after the camera got turned off. because your house is a safe place for spiders....

Common wolf spiders...known as brown spiders.. dangerous to humans if they bite you..found moslty in canada..nice find

I was raised in Oklahoma and now live and Texas and would use those spiders for bait to catch the ones down here .I'll post some footage as soon as I can.

Come on man That is Big?? in the southern USA, Oklahoma is where I'm from, Tarantula's are about 6 inches long and on here they show Camel (Hump/Back), not sure of the name, spiders that are 3-4 Feet long. This is nothing but a little pest eater

was on a week long mission in the Adarondacks and I felt a pinch behind my ear and I woke up and there was nothing there?
Two days later I had a big pimple behind my ear and I squeezed it and about a thousand baby spiders came scurrying all over my head, Apparently a spider laid eggs in the spot behind my ear while I was sleeping and I broke open the sack and released them, I freaked me out!

im glad you didnt kill it when i saw how scared you were of it i was sure there was going to be some animal cruelty...just glad you released it
