Anti Gravity Ion Lifter Flight ...It took me about 20 times to construct one that flew, No moving parts, flys using 30,000 volt power supply run to a Corona wire attached above the Aluminium skirt. Awsome to watch it hover in preson.

  • Impressive

I've tried to do this once before, i WAY underestemated the amount of work it took. I built the device, and was like "this is cake!" but then the computer monitor kicked my @ss. Be careful, the electricity will not kill you, but it will not agree with your heart. I like the commentary that you put in. Alot of videos like this are just a 12 y/o poking it with a ruler. great job Kevin

  • So....

What would happen if you touched it?

    • DON'T TOUCH IT !!!!!

Don't touch it until power has been turned off and the device has been grounded. Other wise you will be shocked with 30,000 volts which may cause a nasty burn minimum to death at the maximum..Kevin

  • What did you use for your power supply

Curious if this will fly with less voltage or if you put some small weights attached to it. Just curious to know if it would lift anything to make it somewhat practicle. Doesn't look like it could lift much if anything, but cool none the less.

    • A Computer Monitor

I used a old computer monitor for the power supply, it puts out about 30,000 volts. Any power supply which puts out a min of 25,000 volts will work. I built around 15 of these before I finally had one that flew, I'll let you in on a tip I learned.... I first built small ones figuring they were easier, WRONG..The larger ones fly better and are more forgiving it thier design. Build one at least 12" on a side, and use a wider horizontal strip that the foil wraps around, it provides more lift that way.....The room quickly fills with the smell of Ozone when these fly...If you need any help drop me a line...Kevin

  • stupid movie maker defaults!

soooo amateur! can people STOP using those default colors? making S**t look so MSDOS.

that should be a tip on that Metacafe Studio thing.

  • What are the practical applications

for such a device? I'm aware of of a probe that was set into space that uses an Ion drive system. But I fail too see any Earth bound uses. Ideas?

    • I'm no expert but

As far as I know the technology hasn't been able to use it other then zero gravity in space, it just doesn't have the lift on earth to be practical yet. In zero G's it will push a spacecraft well but it takes a long time to get up to a fast speed.

    • Ion Drive

Ion Drive is a lil different, were it excites electrons to give it propulsion, very slow mind you.

Here it more like excites the air around it, pushing it downward and causing it lift.

On Mythbusters they did this on trying to find Anti-Gravity. Grant put his hand under it and felt the air. They put it in a vacuum chamber and it didnt work because there was no air in it.

No matter how it works to see in person something fly and hover like it does will make an impression on you...Kevin

  • Not Anti Gravity.

This is not an Anti Gravity device. It ionizes the particles in the air and created thrust. Put it in a vacuum, $20 says it doesn't fly.

    • Your Right

Your right it's not real Anti Gravity, that term was used to spark viewers interest. It also says ION in the description... Nice to see that people with intelligence are viewing my video, Thanks for the comment....Kevin
