This is Unreal and cool but
I'm a little worried what might happen a few years down the road, if she ever gets mad.

She's still a wild animal and could express herself in a violent and "final" way due to her size.

That is the most stupiest and irresponsa...
Their main choice of pets seems to be the wild sort of pets, pittbulls and hippos.
One day those pets will turn against you and I together with others will not feel sorry at your account, shame if your children or neigbours get involved.
It has already started with the still growing BABY hippo stepping on the dogs toes, Next thing is a tramplet kid head, whom just accidently fell in front of that huge mammal.
Same as all other humas who try to take care of large wild animals, they end up not being able to care for them anymore due to the safety hazard, leaving them for starvation, murder or disposing them at an animal shelter or zoo.
