  • Movie on DVD

I have this film on DVD -- it's really frightening what people will do to each other in the name of God. Everybody should watch this movie and learn what's really going on.

    What a shock.

    • These people are NOT Christians

They call themselves Christians, but they're filled with hate. Jesus didn't kidnap people or threaten to kill them.

You need to watch the movie before you make assumptions that make you look silly.

Joy, Mr. Tarker is rather rude but essentially correct. I own the movie on DVD. It's not leftists against Christians at all.

The whole movie is available for free on line at www.beholder.com. You should watch it. You'll be surprised, because it doesn't promote hatred of Christians or anyone else. Take a look. You'll like it.

  • Hmmm

Well, not all religions are the same. Not all christians behave in that matter. I am christian and I don't shove religion down people's throats. I believe people should be free to choose what they should believe. I can't force anyone to believe what I do. It does scare me though to think what people will do in the name of God. I don't think that is what God intended for christianity. It's not what Christ intended. People should be allowed to do as they will, but should we just allow no rules either. We don't want chaos. I'm saying we should be careful. We don't want nudity and sex posted on a billboard for our children to see.

  • Seems Good

By watching the trailer, I believe this movie is great in showing problems in our society, and convincing us to "change our ways". I haven't seen the movie yet, but the trailer does seem pretty god by itself.

  • Great Movie

I belong to a United Church of Christ in Ohio. We have been getting a lot of bad press of late because of Obama's former pa stor so, believe me, I understand what you folks have gone through! I bought the movie and we are going to show it at church for our Open and Affirming Movie Night! We believe that God is still speaking! We also believe that where ever you are in your life journey, you are welcome. We welcome EVERYONE. It's a very happy place! My brother was gay (he died in 1995) and my son is gay so your movie appealed to me on that basis, but it is so good that it should appeal to everyone! It makes you think, it makes you want to scream, it makes you r react. Thanks so much for sticking to your principles!

  • Great trailer!

I hadn't heard of this film before but I'm really intrigued by what I've looked up about the story, and my husband is from St. Louis and while he doesn't remember this specific case, he said it was probably part of the overall album-burnings and other censorship issues that Tipper Gore was involved in.

  • Controversial?

This movie is considered too controversial to be distributed but "The Passion of the Christ" wasn't? I know at least 2 atheists and a Jewish man who have had death threats from people who want thier own brand of theocracy in the U.S. The lack of courage shown by would-be distributors is sad indeed. It reminds me of Borders/Waldenbooks who decided to withhold the issue of Free Inquiry magazine that included reproductions of the Mohammed cartoons that caused controversy in the Netherlands. They expressed concern for the safety of store employees. Again -- sad, and not the vision of free-speech loving pluralistic society I learned about and loved as a child.

I find it encouraging to see that people of faith have shown support for this film in the comments above and I encourage them to read Sam Harris', "Letter to a Christian Nation."

I will be showing my support by buying a copy of the DVD.
