A budget of fifty quid. My first special effects film. Shot on mini dv entirely in my house, blue screen (for puppets) in the garage, chromakey (for the kid) in the kitchen, edited on Premiere Elements. You don't need a huge budget to make a monster movie! I had to bribe my lad with dosh so he'd participate. Took me ten months to make this. Need a rest now! Enjoy.

  • Simple - but effective and well executed

Who needs big budget software? You're a guy after my own heart - ie doing things using the easiest method available!

Some people feel they cannot produce SFX films without lasers, explosions, bullet wounds, blood and goodness know what else. But as you've shown, you can get effective results with animation, wires, models and bluescreen.

OK, so it wouldn't stand up to "big screen" CGI standards, but that's not the point. You've shown people they CAN do things even on a modest budget.
