Nirvana Smells Like Teen Spirit 2011 Remix Sampling AVB Nirva... [HD]

In light of the massive achievements of "Smells Like Teen Spirit", Nevermind and Nirvana, including obviously the late Kurt Cobain, this release is but one of many with customised vocals, and in this case it's wound around an AVB trance mix baseline. However I spent over a month on it, and produced over 20 premix releases before finally managing to do Kurt Cobain's amazing vocals and guitar riffs justice. This mix explodes with the raw power of his voice and the combined effect of a trance feel and well timed guitar and vocals. Obviously to release in Any form a version of "Smells Like Teen Spirit", you would be doing Nirvana and the Rock community a massive disservice to play with what you can't understand, and the original was a true teen anthem, so this release had to build on that reputation, and have a really epic feel to it. I hope to have achieved that and with due respect to both AVB and Nirvana, I hope this is the best, new release of "Smells Like Teen Spirit" for some time.
This really IS very good; and I used nothing but the original Nirvana track and the AVB baseline. It's unnecessary to sample anything else; absolute beauty lays within. I won't pull any punches in this description, I have to dig deep for this one, and the sound is just gorgeous. I absolutely love the way this has turned out. If only made for me, it's worth every second I spent on it. The vocal performance from Cobain is just epic and transcends its age. Listening to this updated for 2011 it's a little hard to believe it was released in the very early 90s. This is just the way it goes when the source ingredients of a remix are this good. This does the original some justice, in light of versions I've heard floating around I wanted to make a definitive effort to trance this up extensively. The result is just epic. This track couldn't sound bad if it tried let's face it. For the record, I consulted the production history of Smells Like Teen Spirit, and I re-used concepts they used in the original such as the guitar and riff repeat patterns. Also the double tracking of guitar and/or bass in sections to add presence, as cobain requested from the producer of the original. This sounds really great.
