The problem is not GWB making a fool of himself, its how he allows his own country to live in fear of terrorism and makes a fool of all the american people Democrat or Republican! Ahem. "Millions" of our fathers have now been killed in the war?? Reality check: current number of Americans killed as of 2/14/06 is actually 2,265. Of those, 1,814 were killed in combat. True, even one is too many, but seriously, that's far short of "millions." And I'd have to say that much of the Muslim world hated us long before we entered Iraq: 9/11 ring a bell? (Incidentally, the official American death toll for 9/11 is 2,967--still far more than the total US deaths in Iraq.) Furthermore, there was a vast body of evidence (recognized by the Clinton administration among others) that Saddam Hussein was attempting to begin developing weapons of mass destruction again, and only a fool would suppose he wouldn't gleefully share such deadly technology with Muslim extremists bent on annihilating American culture. (He had, after all, not hesitated to use them on his own people.) What bothers me more than George Bush exhibiting blunders any one of us might execute in the course of 24 hours, is simple people namecalling and scapegoating other Americans exercising their freedom to believe in a political philosophy different from their own.
