Bob Jones of Alaska demonstrates S.T.O.L. performance in his Zenith STOL CH 701 kit plane equipped with Zenair floats. Take-off is less than 3.5 seconds (under 200 feet) at gross weight with his 100-hp powered airplane.

    your landings would be a lot better with water rudders up. as well as shorter take off. i guess i didn't give you your float rating... Its still an AWESOME Demo of your aircraft! its incredible. I wish the 172 i train people on would do that!!!

    Wow... indeed that is a short take-off (even if it were a wheel takeoff from land) and that is quite extreme! I could nearly fly this out of my swimming pool!
