      We're talking about Google maps, i.e., maps.google.com. No downloads, just a website. Yahoo maps is better (better interface and satellite data).

    • I didn't say that Google was better

      but the data for the areas I've searched are newer, maybe 2 years old. At least Google maps knows where the buildings are. On this live.com, it thinks my house is at the end of the street instead of in the middle (about 8 houses away). This is 2001 data.

      I just ran some points of interest in "maps.live.com" and everyone of them didn't know exact or allow you to zoom in like Google. "maps...." might be okay for some of you folks, but I prefer a service that allows you to do much more.

      i have a far better idea than you do, you idiot.
      Most images are at least 6 years old. Some have newer data due to recent flyovers. But the majority of images on Google Maps is, in the very least, 5-6 years old.

    Doesn't Microsoft get their map info from terra server. Lol. Google is far better. live may have a few areas with better image quality but for me, in the east cost, google wins by far!
