And that is why you always place your hard-target at an angle. That way the bullet won't do that. What most people have failed to notice is that the weapon used was a .50 calibre sniper rifle. Knowing the muzzle velocity of the weapon (2800fps.) and the elapsed time of the shot and the re-bound puts the target at approximately 500 meters. That is one heck of a bounce. If the round hadn't hit the ground first that man probably would have been seriously injured. OUCH !!

a 3/4" iron plate (steel actually) can be penetrate easily by a 50 caliber rifle round. It leaves a huge bowl and a hole in the plate.

that's impossible... that was a .50 BMG. a amor penatrating round. that round would bury itself in the cilff side, not ricochet and hit the guy in the head. fyi, it wouldn't whistle either....
