Could you please explain why it happens. What's the science?
By Not Again!! 1186241424Dish soap works by breaking the surface tension of water (the molecules holding water to water), which then allows the water to mix with oil and grease. In this experiment, we used milk because the fat in it prevents the food colouring from mixing in right away, as it would with water. When the soap hits the liquid in the dish, it works at breaking the surface tension so that the milk will eventually combine with the food colouring. I hope this helped!
By GreenWaveFlix 1186247446How much milk does that take becasue my kids waste enough milk?
By bayoubunny 1184873101you can use any round dish, as long as there is a good 1/2 inch of milk in the bottom of the dish it will work. the more you use the bigger and more spectacular it will look. have fun
By GreenWaveFlix 1184954954Do you knew why will see the 3d effect in the 2d plane??
By etfive217 1276128092Have you ever looked at a cloud? I mean really LOOKED at a cloud?
