      u miss understood... not wushu is a kind of Kung fu.

      kung fu is a part of wushu.

      wushu is one of the oldest martialarts in china, and there r many styles coming from wushu. kungfu is only one style, but for europeans and americans it is easier to spell and say... no one would know about wushu without jet li i reckon.

      the competition forms in wushu are just that... competition forms.

      the martial application is something entirely different.

    • this is a very misunderstanding

      wushu forms may not be arranged for real fighting in the sequense shown ... but take little combinations of these techniques appart and you can use them as no other techniques ! but you have to find a teacher to teach you properly ;-)
