I Have A BIG Problem With My Computer. Please HELP!!!

Find a really cool picture in a magazine, newspaper, ect.... Cut it out, paste it to your computer screen. Viola ........ new wallpaper.

it seems you're working under a Domain Environment , or there is some kind of Group Policy applied on your computer , you can check this out with your system administrator.

Oper microsoft Paint put a photo in the file,use copy / paste fron a picture jpeg somewhere. Under files, click save as, make a name and after the name type .bmp or .jpeg. If offered, use 24 bit color and save this with the .bmp or .jpeg to your desktop. Close Paint, go to desktop, open this sme file again. Go to the file dropdown menu, choose set as background (centered). Wala! desktop picture! Note,this will require that you keep that file on your desktop so MS can always fin it.... if you take it off the desktop, its no desktop again. Blackbird

how long has it been like that?! maybe try and do a system restore to an earlier date... that may reconfigure the settings to the way the were in the beginning... or it may even be a graphical glitch...

I have same problem with that , Please help us. I read first comment and still not work to change the desktop.

go to control panel
then click on display and go to themes
click on the arrow down and then click on a theme and it just might work to change the desktop
