umm
where's the ballistic missile ?? all i saw was a projectile fired from a barrel . ballistic missiles have their own power source eg... ICBM , Scuds , Patriots etc ...

not artillery
i've worked around in and on big guns for about 20 years and that shell does not even begin to look authentic. i'm not convinced!

It actually *is* a ballistic missile
The definition of the term includes all projectiles that traverse a ballistic trajectory. This includes arrows and slings, to artillery, and even including rocket boosted intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBM). Technicially an ICBM doesn't become a ballistic missile until such time as the booster rocket expires. Prior to that point (the "boost phase") it is typically making minor course corrections.
