  • WTF?

They slow down on business so they lay off over 100,000 people and then stumble across animal cruelty for an idea to sell their pile of crap cars.

Anybody know what ignition source was used to light up little Sparky in that clip? Oh wait, I think Ford forgot that part for lack of imaginative staff left behind after laying everone off.

    • And your idea is?

so business slows down and they don't lay off the people? keep paying them and bankrupt the company? good idea you should run for president with logic like that your a shoe in. And all the people who want to come in here and give me hell for making fun of the president and whine about layoffs, What are you driving? That cute little toyota just sent $30,000.00 overseas and helped with those layoffs. keep up the good work buy foriegn stuff and bankrupt the U.S.A. Smart people.

    • Actually....

I used to own a brand new SRT-4. It wasn't 30 grand but only 25. After paying the insurance on the damn thing for two years I realized how stupid it was for the sake of a reliable car ($610/month Canadian without so much as a parking ticket). Since spring when a deer running in front of it caused its write-off I went back to a good ol' reliable 88 Dynasty for 2 grand. The insurance is far cheaper, replacement parts are far cheaper and I won't have the enjoyment of kissing a deer and ending up in the hospital for two months. I could hit the same deer the same way with the Dynasty and cause $500 worth of damage whereas the SRT-4 was 12 grand (write-off). Personally, I wouldn't buy a foreign car myself but people do. The number one reason for that is simply money. As a brother's mechanic I can also state that modern day cars are manufactured to last no more than 4-5 yrs. The wiring is made as cheaply as possible along with the rest of the car in turn making you buy a new car once your vehicle is finally paid off. That is taught to mechanics in school! May I ask what you drive and what you pay for insurance? I'm now slightly interested.
