Ever have a button fall off your clothing? Learn to sew it back on. Very useful. Supplies needed: thread, needle, scissors, and of course...the button and piece of clothing. In the video, I used an embroidery hoop. This absolutely ISN'T necessary, but I used it so you can see what I'm doing better. Without it, my fingers block the view of the camera. Also, how many times you wind the thread around the button depends on how thick the fabric is. On a really thin cloth, you can skip that step altogether. Thicker cloths would require more winding.
When you're passing the needle through the button hole, do not make it tight against the cloth. Keep it a little loose. The thicker the cloth, the bigger the space is between the button and the cloth. Why? It needs room for the winding which forms the neck or shank.
