what's this from though? Flying circus?
ive seen most of the flying circus and all the films but not this sketch.

In addition to all the Flying Circus shows, they filmed 2 additional episodes completely in German for German TV. They all learned and spoke their own lines in German.
The intire first episode is available on the two DVD set called "Monty Python Live!" with English subtitles.
The second is available on the two DVD set called "The Life of Python" with English subtitles.

i would have thought they used unicode for every character including those covered by ASCII since you can't realy use a combination.

If you had "watched" the two videos you might find that it was the same video playing twice hence an explanation for hearing the same sound track twice !
