Okay, I was fine until the history brush step... I went to the history palette but there was no paste. Should I go back and copy paste at the beginnin or somethin?

nice effort but...
I've always found with these types of images that it is better to just take the time and manually select the subject. Zoom in close and take your time.

- Yea, there is something to that
  But this is just the quickest way. I can usually cut out an object fairly nicely in like 2 minutes.
  
  To get the best results, you can use the pen tool. But that can take quite awhile, depending on what your cutting out.
