HOTB-Movie-06 Mike Tells Diane His New Business Idea

I've been lucky enough to see this video before. When I saw the clip again, I remembered how good it was. It is well acted and directed, and tells an important story of prejudice, betrayal, and hope. Best of all, it was inspired by true events! It is well worth watching.

I watched the Heart of the Beholder and found it to be a inspiring story about a man chasing his dreams against all odds.
A must see for all those who will have to fight for what is right and important in America. Well done!

That's a part of what makes the story so compelling. This nastiness could have happened anywhere, to anyone brave enough to stand up to America's taleban.

Excellent movie ... if you haven't seen it it's worth your time.

This is a wonderful movie which should be required viewing in all schools and churches! As the sister of a gay brother and the mother of a gay son, this movie is especially relevant to me and I endorse it wholeheartedly!

I've been a supporter of this movie since it was in the making. A very good true story told. There is way too much censorship in America, and how ppl abuse religion. Stories like this need to be told and ppl need to know what does go on. I recommend this movie. Kudos to Darlene.

I looked up the facts about the story this movie is based on. A friend of mine gave me his library log-in information for the St. Louis online public library and there's a wealth of information there. Actually, I thought the whole entertaining revenge part of this movie couldn't really be true since it was so much fun to watch, but it turns out that the true story is even more interesting!

The clip you show is a waste of time and talent.

"HotB" is the most emotionally packed movie I've ever seen, with some of the scariest and most frightening scenes ever.

I have friends who lost jobs because they did not go along with some boss's idea of what they should believe, or which church to attend - if any.

So many people in this country have lost track of Jesus' injunction to the effect that it's hypocrites who pray loudly in front of places of 'worship' or on street corners where others will see them, and that his followers should instead pray in private.

Who was it that said that a person's right to swing his arm ends where another person's nose begins? Anyone's right to evangelize ends where my eardrums begin.

I am one of the original small financers of this film and owner of a copy. I am happy to have contributed to this timely message and hope that it disabuses people of the notion that there is anything warm and fuzzy about censorship or the religious fanatics behind it.

If you have seen the movie then you won't understand this analogy. In Austin, TX there was a general contractor who bid on the new Planned Parenthood to be built. This fundamentalist won the bid and got the job. However, he refused to build the building. He scared off sub-contractors by calling their homes and threatening them. He told the sub contractors he'd smear their reputation and they'd never get another job again because he had that many connections. The plot of HOTB happens in different forms and that's why I support Darlene, the director, and this movie.

I just bought 10 copies of "Heart of the Beholder" to give to my friends. Great movie!
Especially trenchant because it really happened. Every American should see this.

The 2 main characters have a lot of chemistry and act really well together. I liked this scene because no matter how much good advice the wife has, she still wants to see her husband happy. I think it's funny how it ends with him saying "it's the best idea I've ever had" and her saying "it's the worst Idea he's ever had"! :) So true when people have differing ideas and the track record was not so good, but this story is Great because it really was a good idea and ahead of it's time.
