  • Made your blow gun

    I made your blowgun tonight and was very well pleased with it. I made the darts like yu showed and learned not to use a regular dart board as a target unless I wnated to "nail it to the wall" LOL. I also tried using some bamboo skewers for darts and found that they were very effective also, though not nearly as much as the wire darts. I still had to get plires to pull them out of the dart board. Impressive. Guess the local rodents will have to start avoiding my deck now. I will get a little entertainment out of this.

  • Blowguns

    When in the Luzon (PI) nearly 40 years ago, I observed the "locals" using scavanged aluminum "TV" Antenna ribs to make very effective blowguns. Don't remember how they made their darts, but do remember the darts were of wood, w/nail tips and feathers. Locals were extremely accurate with them and would use them while hunting in the bush. Do not underestimate the power of blowguns in the hands of someone who knows how to use them. Would like to have seen a full view of you loading and blowing the weapon/expelling the dart. May have enhanced an already great video. Wonder if I could kill some of the local rats with one of those. Hmmm... might need to use the poison like some deer hunters used on their arows before it was outlawed in some states. I give you five stars on this one. Good job!

    This may be fake .......im not sure...because after the second dart is shot you can see the head of it and there is no cone..there is just a metal loop thing...check it yourself

    We made these in collage to shoot in our dorm rooms when we needed a break from all the beer and girls. If you experiment with the lengths of wire, you can get them to be extremely accurate at far distances. Also a little camo paint looks good. Thanks
