  • Modern art is mostly a con

    Most modern art is crap. People buy it because it is supposed to that you have taste and money to waste. (Like those $2000.00 purses)

    One of my favorite example is where someone paid several thousand $ for a piece of art only to find out that it was a drawing by the custodian of how the plumber should install the new toilet. Someone had framed it and hung it up as a joke.

    At the same time I have this modern art painting sitting on my wall that I keep finding hidden shapes in the more I look at it. I say it should have been hung at a dentist office so the person getting worked on has something to distract them.
