Amazing martial arts demonstration.
typical people being VERY VERY VERY stupid. tony ja rules...and he could hurt alot of people BADLY. just shut up retards.
By MuayThaiMaster 1141989821Tony Jaa is the star.He is very good.In jeans is very difficult.
By MilaLefiS 1155776288... But I can't really imagine that anyone capable of flinging their entire body through a double back flip or launching themselves 12 feet through the air, knee first while on fire is going to have much trouble against your average drunken idiot wanting a fight!
By James 1981 1143557279that was wicked tony jaa is nang at muay thai and i think on-bak was nag
By adamalibhai 1143289158but not alot of fighting applications in the real world, makes for good movies but you have to be DAMN fast to land those kicks,or you get caught and slammed into the pavement at twice the speed you throw em.
as my sifu would say the higher you kick the more youre going to get hurt...and seeing as how he is one of the fastest people ive ever seen movies or otherwise i tend to believe him. although that flip axe kick looks like it would hurt like hell id think youd only need to land one of those and it would be over.
that tony jaa is damn quick enough? haha fight em and see what happens
By eguar 1142995637I just watched ONG BAK yesterday, well all I can say is that it is utterly awesome.
This guy is completly amazing!
I love it all.
but he knows and practices Thai boxing for years too, that's the fact..
By Zer0 1141004123To those who think he's a gymnast: when learning a martial art, you don't just start kicking through wood whilst doing a sumersault. You start off with the basics of punching, kicking, elbows and knee strikes. If this Jaa's mastered these, and can break wood with them, surely he could break bone and would be effective in a fight.
By Denouement 1140443205It would be a short fight believe me
By klfagsflgj 1142402003If you fought Tony Jaa, it would be a short fight. You'd last maybe two seconds. Why are so many people on Metacafe so full of bs? Seriously, have some respect, the man is very good.
By crimsonfalcon072 1156039737The primary skillset needed for success un the octagon is a mix of muay thai, boxing, brazilian jiujitsu, and wrestling. He's got muay thai covered, and some really good conditioning to boot. I'd hate to have to try to shoot in and take this guy down...
By jaysohn 1140413895He also knows jujitsu very well, as evidenced by one of the final scenes in Tom Yum Goong (coming out soon in the States under the name The Protector).
By crimsonfalcon072 1156039814not only from ONG BAK...
from TOM YUM GOON too.
he's really great
what file format of videos should i upload to metacafe? i tried mp4 and wmv but they dont work. PLEASE HELP!!
[Nice video!]
I don't like him, don't know why but I just don't although he is fantastic
can you tell me where is he from ?
If these "Martial Arts" experts are so cool, why do the consistantly get the S**t beat out of them in real fights? Watch any UFC or Pride Fighting tournaments. You won't see any bullshit Hollywood moves. Send these pussies back to their gymnastics classes.
By Tau 1140319744another pride fanboy
you know muay thai is one of the many styles incorporated in mma right....? he's a master of muay thai. Try not to make yourself look stupid
This is Tony Jaa, world champion in Muay Thai.he could wipe the floor with figters from UFC,Pride fightd or Friday night fights.....It doesnt matter what it is
U looser
Tony Jaa is not a world champion Muay Thai fighter. You have been misinformed.
However his physical abilty is amazing and this is evident through his Choreographed fight scenes in movies.
Martial arts isn't about fighting. It was at first, but there's so much "crap" in it now that's it's not really efficient for fighting. Those that work out now (for the most part anyway) do it for the workout, for the challenge and to gain control over their bodies. It's not about violience, but self control and enlightenment.
By Posthuman 1142028518fighting is one thing, being an actor in martial arts movies is something different (tony jaa is a thai actor)
and true martial arts as a personnal way of self developpement is also different
a fighter's purpose is victory in a fight, a martial artist's purpose is physical and spiritual cultivation
He didn't believe in styles as they wouldn't help you much if you wanted to be an efficient fighter. He worked out to be as good a FIGHTER as he could, not pure martial artist. Which is also why he was constantly challenged by random people on the street and on the set of his films cause people didn't believe he was as good as he led on or as good as he seemed to be in his movies.
By Posthuman 1142028284who the F**k do u think u are??? this is tricking martial arts gymnastics. just because u are too much of a P***y to do any of this yourself! piss off and listen to your 50 cent u F**king chav!!!
