It's sad to see people like yourself who are against the violence and terriorism get included with those people. I don't know what the numbers are like but to me it seems that there are sure quite a few crazy people involved that are and religion is the tool to manipulate their weak minds.

It's not just muslims, I am against any beliefs that think that everyone else should die if they do not agree. Christianity and Judaism (since its the same holy book) don't advocate violence in their scriptures. Yeah yeah, I know a lot of evil S**t has been perpetrated through the centuries in the name of Christianity; but don't confuse what the BIBLE says with what some zealot whacko misinterprets the Bible as saying. The catholic Pope that advocated the Holy Crusades did so by delibertately misinterpreting on of the Psalms.

The key difference here is, the Bible doesn't tell people to go out and kill if they don't agree with God. The Quran, on the other hand, DOES. Mohammed loved to tell everyone how Allah wants the infidels (Jews and Christians) killed, how they'll all burn in hell, how they should have their heads cut off, be crucified, etc... Yeah, it really does say all that S**t if you take time to actually read it (I have).

It's a common criticism within the church that some Christians adhere only to those parts of the bible that suit their lifestyle and ignore the parts that are inconvenient. It seems the reverse could be true of Islam where the fundamental message is unpalatable and needs to be watered down or selectively disregarded by Muslims genuinely trying to live Godly lives.

The Koran says what it says and therefore Islam is what it is - regardless of how peaceable the intentions of those loyal to it.

When I wrote Maria I specifically mentioned support for Muslims not terrorist. There is a difference between a muslim and a terrorist. Of course there are muslims who are terrorist but then again there are black people who steal and murder. Does that mean all black people are murderers and thieves? I don't think so.

The point I was making is that because someone is a muslim does not make them bad, evil and certainly not a terrorist. It simply means they worship their God a different way and have a right to do so just like everyone else Certainly we enter a new situation when their beliefs or interpretation of their beliefs lead them to these acts of violence.

I hate terrorists as much if not more than anyone else. Like many, I lost some good friends and co-workers when the pentagon was hit and many more have died on the ground in Iraq Afghanistan and the embassy bombings in Africa. I wish I could change that but the fact is, it happened.

That doesn't change the fact that there are good, peaceful Muslims in that region and throughout the world. I've been there (Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan and Iraq) and have seen first hand the hell these people lived and are currently living with. It's a huge mis understanding . In islam, those who die at war are special, that is most of their sins are forgiven, not in getting those afterlife women :S
But not in any war. only in a war that is declared by the government in order to prevent evil on the people of the nation or defend ones country if it was invaded. So it doesn't apply on the terrorists who kill inocent people. i.e, killing journalists and so in Iraq = Very bad, killing soldiers = that's what happens in wars you know. soldiers die.
