But don't they realise their actual level of their talent?

I feel embarrassed for them.

It makes me think twice about trying at all new things I wanna do where I have no talent for in the worry that I would make such a fool of myself.

On the oder hand... try nothing = get nothing and learn nothing.

There is a fine line somewhere one must get to learn.

For a last plus for their "courage", I would say that over the years there has been some pretty weird voices who made it to the top in the music industry...there was a video about it somewhere on Metacafe

American Idol have some good tryouts?? I guess they are all deaf . They don't seem too be able to hear themselves. The white male judge is so NASTY but so right most of the time. must have happy hour before a long happy hour.
