Im a professional wrestler and I have been for the past year (Brad "the Diamond" Dean...RBW) first of all Id like to say that wrestling is not "fake" (unfair word), yes we know whats going to happen and whos going to win, but every thing you see hurts like hell, when we land it hurts, when we get kicked it hurts, when we get thrown it hurts...if it was "Fake" would it hurt? That kick is a great move, you do make contact (because i use it!!!!) but its not alot, your aiming for just under the chin, and the slap comes from hitting your own leg...looks very affective when its done full speed and get a great "pop" from the crowd

Winner/loser is planned out beforehand, everyone plans out their actions and what they say, so just tell me what is the sport in that? Im not saying that wrestling isnt "fake" Im saying that its a very unfair word to use, yes we know whats going to happen but thats not the point, the point is we go out there to make people react, as soon as the crowd cheer or boo we have succeded with what we set out to do. As long as the crowd are entertained thats all i care about. Imean people see films and think a fight scene was excellent, we just bring that to people live.

Jumping off a giant cage and landing on a table is hard for some poeple. Even if this is "acted", You still have to withstand some of the things that are around you. One time I fell off a ladder and landed on a table (I wasn't wresting, I was fixing a lightbulb) and broke my arm.

The most powerful kick that you can get from the side is either a side kick, of a high heel turning kick. I practice hapkido combined with taekwondo, and judo. as well i spend some time on and off studing kick boxing and brazilian ju jitsu. I know my kicks very well. In this instance it seems to me that the one wrestler is hitting the other with the side of his foot swinging in an upward motion. There is no power in this kick. The only way to bring power to a kick from the side is to swing it forward and then back in a high arc hitting with the back of your heel. or transversely bringing you knee up and in front and then driving it to the face in a thrusting motion, conversely a side kick. both of these kicks have the potential to knock someone out. This kick was neither, in fact i dont have a name for this kick since i know no martial artist who would even consider using such kick in a fight. Point is a fake KICK.

Just take a look at UFC or Pride if you want to see real. In these events when someone gets put into a submission move they don't lie there and take it for about a minute and then mysteriously summon strength to reverse it. Give it about 3 secs on a fully applied submission move and you see the recipient tap-out.
This isn't all that great of a kick. I did wrestled in the indies (one step below pro) for a few years, and saw far better moves. And just for some of you to actually know, yes the winner is pre determined and maybe one or two of the spots, so as to get a pop, but most of it is made up on the spot. Hell, half the match is passed from one person to the other when they are picking each other up or tied up, aka locked arms, cuz this is the best time to tell each other.

..but there is a certain skill in pulling off the moves they do without hurting eachother. They are probably fairly strong but most of the bulk will be due to steroids etc. Some of the greatest athletes?? You MUST be joking.
It is funny how bad they are at acting, and how some people STILL beleive that it is really 2 guys trying to beat eachother up. They do the moves such that the other guy doesn't get hurt, it just looks like it...all staged.
Anyone know of Owen Heart? If yes, did he REALLY die while wrestling? If yes...That's one example of how "fake" wrestling is.

It's not so much that I grew up, ,it's the fact that it has changed so much; There are no more good guys and bad guys. There are no more jobbers. Everybody is a soap opera star now.
