  The different frequencies the Aliens use send the field mice running in different patterns which forms the shape of the crop circle. The UFO does not even have to be in close proximity to the target field.

well if you notice at the end the shapes got more detailed and tricky,due to the pitch being higher... so it would be very plausable for a soundwave shot at a frequency we cant detect to be producing the crop circles.. not saying it's alien... but maybe some other source.... just a thought.
