Don't you guys think that we should have a campaign to force FIFA to have the world cup every 3 yrs instead of 4? Think about how many world cups you are going to see on your lifetime. Not enough!!!! This way instead of having 3 world cups in 12 yrs, we’ll be able to see 4. I don’t think a world cup every two yrs will be doable because there are so many countries playing football professionally, and all of them will want a chance to compete for a spot on the cup. But every three yrs will be more realistic to achieve.. We can collect signatures all over the world and send it to FIFA. That will be enough pressure, I would believe. Hey Stevie G, imagine yourself at the baseball diamond , in the batters box, trying to hit a 100 mph fastball, or for that matter, any pitch delivered from a professional ball player. I know , it's a real terrible view isn't it, you wouldn't even stand there , much less try to hit something you wouldn't be able to see, at least not for more than a fraction of a second. If the first pitch didnt convince you , then the first time a 100 mph fastball shaves the hair off your chin surely will. Sure America has baseball , along with many other different sports. Baseball is not just a physical sport , there is also alot of mind boggling stratagies being executed by the coaches as well as the players. I'll agree, it can seem dull, but if you had a better understanding of the game you would probably appriciate it a little more. Another reason is , is that the pros that play the game , play it so well, hitting the ball most the time gets you no where. Watch a third basemen catch a hard hit shot down the third base line , a shortshort stop go deep in the hole throwing out the runner while moving away from the play, a well executed double play, a center fielder catching a fly ball while running all out and colliding with a brick wall, a triple play or that matter a batter trying to work the count. Although pitching a no hitter or better yet , a perfect game, may make for dull games , but it's something you and I can only dream of and is exciting in its own way, not to mention what the odds of doing it would be.I could go on and on, but the fact remains , these guys in the pros are the best of the best, and they just make it look easy , try it sometime, I'd put my money down that you would not even stand in front of that hard hit shot down the third base line much less try to catch it. I don't say this with any malice, just with a little knowledge as to how diffulclult it really is to do the things that some of these pros do . It's very diffulcult.
The people who play soccer professionally are also very talented, those who play any professional sport are, a little overpaid, but hey, if it were offered to you or I we would jump on it.
