1 thing..........i dont have a lighter

doing it in a well ventilated area, as the butane smells horrible!

Its because the bubbles float ontop of the butain gas!

do the same thing with a reaction of baking soda and vinegar, carbon dioxide is produced. This way, you don't have to waste that precious fluid :-).

just don`t light the gas afterwards :):):):):)

the temperature of the air in bowl is much low ( gas is frozzen ) temperature in bubble is more hot !
hot air up cold air down ! this is the real explaining ! ( my opinion ) sorry for my english !

You can do the same thing with vinegar and baking soda in the kitchen sink to produce the CO2

It could be likely too bits of that stuff reach the bubbles, changing their density

i believe you can also do this with dry ice and lasts longer and you dont need to be careful not to blow the house down...

You can do the same thing with dry ice. But anyone can do this one. Nice work!

Loading bowl with gas easy, straight out of the can. Aiming bubbles into bowl, like juggling jelly. Gave up

The explanation isn´t completely true: "Float in mid-air, this is because the gas is heavier than air causing the bubbles to float on an invisible layer."

If was only this, the bubbles don't go down (floating above gas) but will be free to go up!

Beside heavier lighter's gas, the lower temperature of lighter's gas is also responsible for this effect making air inside the bubbles cooler than air above.

Cooler bubles tend to go down but the air inside bubbles is lighter than the heavier gas below! There are two phisics interaction here responsible for this phenomenon.

this is dumb and dangerous.

there is an easier way to get this same effect , by farting in an ice bath.
