  • More info...

I actually know where these pictures where taken. They were taken on South Padre Island (in Texas) during an annual event called "Beach Reach". While I haven't actually gone to the event yet, I have heard so many great things about it that I am planning on going to it soon. As a matter of fact, it is coming up very soon for this year. If I remember correctly, it is during Spring Break, which is in about two weeks. If you guys want, I can get more information on the even and post it up here.

  • The Best Art

Seems like the best art is always God inspired. Don't you think?? Beautiful!!!

    By Tannoy 1143912281
  • Why?

Why is a video as innocuous and simplistic as this used as a battleground between people?

It's a lovely video, the music was well chosen, the sculptures were beautifully made and must have taken a lot of effort, so it does not matter what you or others believe. Host your arguments inside your own head.

That 3D "Last supper" was great! The first one was also so good, showing Jesus in the time predicting that one of his disciples was going to betray him.

  • Atheists=No religion?

I thought christians called all people with no religion atheists? Excuse me if I'm wrong, but that's what I've heard most of my christian friends call people with no religion.

    By tyar 1141704624
    • Atheism = Don't beleive in God. No relig...

Atheism, in its broadest sense, is an absence of belief in the existence of gods. This definition includes as atheists both those who assert that there are no gods, and those who make no claim about whether gods exist or not. Narrower definitions, however, often only qualify those who assert there are no gods as atheists

The first few sand sculptures are done by Randy Hofman, a local artist in the Ocean City, Md area. I have seen and enjoyed these works of art for many years now. For more info about Randy Hofman his website is www. randyhofman.com

  • Dublin 2002

This was done in the spring of 2002 on Dollymount Strand, Dublin, Ireland. People worked throughout the night under spot lights to complete the sculptures. The sand was washed, sieved and special plasticizers and other stuff were mixed in. Lovely. Praise the Lord . Hallelujah. Amen.

...Is all that only made of sand ?! That's totally amazing ! That's not art that is magic !

    By Ramax 1140638789
  • Wrong

There were only 11 apostles at the Lords evening meal NOT 12

    By Salt_n_Pepper 1140504812
    • .

are you saying that there were only 11 there because judas left half way through? maybe this was before he left.

      By KX36 1140726885
    • I'm guessing

that you are referring to the actual event, not the sculpture. If so, then it depends on what portion of the meal. All 12 were gathered before Judas leaves.

      By Printerman 1140627110
    • No, there are 12.

At first glance, it's true you only see 11, but if one pays more attention he notice that there are 12, 6 on each side.

      {P.S. Thanks for the votes :-) :p; hope you liked it, something small but beautiful.}

Thats why a deep moat has been dug around the sculptures, it took longer to dig that than building the sculptures.

  • Man uses even sand to glorify Him ! Amaz...

What an amazing talent: Unique sand sculptures of a very unique Man.

Christ saw His own creative genius moulded into man who was made in His image, He looked at this image, broken and destroyed and He loved us very deeply, this drove Him to be murdered in our place, to destroy sin in man and to save us.

He is a very wonderful person.
