    I wonder where this guy got his metallurgical degree from. I used to work at a company that made leaf springs for trucks, and we heated steel up to 1400F degrees to form it. At that temperature it was glowing hot and formed quit easily. You don't have to melt steel to make it weak, just get it to around 1200 degrees F. This is easily within the temperature of burning kerosene. With the weight of the top of the building bearing down on the none-damaged supporting beams, once they heated up to 1400 degrees F plus, there is nothing anyone can do.

  • 707 vs 767 impact

    I am a pilot and and an Engineer. Yes the towers were designed to withstand the impact of a 707. However that was for a 707 flying at slow, under 200 knots, speed that might be lost in the fog at the end of it's flight (low fuel). These aircraft were full of fuel and impact speed was at over 500 knots. The increase is speed exponentially increases the damage.

    You have to prioritize dont you know! .....WHAT CRAP! Are you not also forgetting the car bombing by islamic terorists on 26th Feb 1993. Surely this would also have helped to severely weaken the structure. As I said yet agian the architect said he did not build the towers to withstand the impact of a plane. Hot air rises so you would see poor people waving for help at the bottom of the explosion??? duh! Just look at your own vision of how one of the beams twisted. It was from heat.
