  • How it works

    The information is on the label of the shiny side of the label, there is no information in the clear plastic so taking a layer of plastic off allows the laser to read the information on the label without interference from scratches.

    If you scratch the though label of a CD it is proper fucked.

    This works just like my Skip Dr. it uses a very mild sand paper to polish out the scratches. If the damage is on the label side, you are screwed!

    I wasn't sure about this, but I tried it (my husband is an autobody technician so he had all the supplies) and it worked! I had a Disney movie kicking around for the past year, wondering how to repair the deep, deep scratches in it and I sanded it and cleaned it and taadaa! it works great! Highly Recommended BUT the supplies can be expensive.

    I don't understand why that doesn't destroy the information on the disk. Is this just a cosmetic repair? I was under the impression that it fixed CDs that were actually damaged from the scratches.
