and secretly he believed it was his chance to impress his relatives and friends on how well he has practiced dancing together with his wife. Pehaps he has boasted a lot on how good their dancing was and that added to his pressure to perform. Unfortunately, his wife didn't spin well enough and that frustrated him... sigh... then he experienced panic, anger, shame, frustration, and slapped her because he was feeling self concious and thought that everyone was laughing at him especially when he was trying to show off his dancing skills. Plus, there is a high possibility that he usually slaps his wife at home because, it seems to come naturally like a habit eventhough he was dancing.
