and as for having a democaracy up until 1952, i never heard of it, (thought you had a monarchy) but it just proves my point, if nassar hadn't taken over than the muslim brothers would have later on.
the only reason nassar controled them was because of his lack of care for human rights, a democracy has no way to deal with islamic fundamntalism within it's own borders.
by the way i never claimed we treated the palstinians well, but you wern't any better than us, and during the peace process both egypt and jordan didn't even want to hear about taking the terretories under thier responibilty, a problem you had a serious share in as you were trying to destroy us and btw during the black september events jordninas killed more palstinians in 10 days than we did since the second intifada began in 2000, guess what ended those events in 1970? the IAF flew over jordan making the three sides stop.

yes there are people in israel that want parts of the west bank, hell there are people who want jordan too but israel is a democrcy and they are the minority so it dosn't matter what they think.
the majority wants nothing to do with the palstinians and elected a goverment to get it done.

I disagree with you on the soviet equipmnet at that time being infirior to western one, the north vietnam air force managed to keep up until the US esteblished the top gun school a killing ratio of 1 US fighter for every 2 of thier own.
in the 1973 war, israel was using t-55 tanks captured in the last war, israel improved them a bit and they were called tiran tanks, they operated just fine as the other western tanks did in that war and on the syrian front a company of WW2 sherman tanks ambushed and destroyed an iraqi t-55 battlion, so blaming all of your wrongs on your equipment won't work for me.
as for the egyption air force during the 1973 war, the problem was not the MIG's range, it was the fact that they had no desire to leave their SAM ummbrella.
the fact that you choose to use soviet doctrine is your own problem, the soviet doctrine cares very little for the lives of it's own soldiers and uses them as cannon foder.
israel didn't and dosn't use western doctrine as there is no such thing, israel writes it's own doctrines according to the situations and thats one of the reason israel always came on top.
after each war both sides learn their lessons from it, egypt lesson was that westren weapons seem to be suprior, israel started planing after that war israeli made weapons which are usualy suprior to american ones, like the merkava series.
while we use US made f-16's and f-15's we also add our own equipment to it, such as a hud which helps the pilot to control the aircraft in a much easier way, missiles, UAV's and electronics which i know nothing about as i was a tanker.... further more the US buys all of these things from israel.
simply changing a doctrine and equipment won't change the balance of powers.
in 1973 israel was caught completly off guard, in the first two days of the war, everything went according to the battle plan of the arab nations but they still lost because the IDF adapted to the new situation while fighting.
the effectivnes of the RPG's and sageer missiles (which the egyptions called malutka's i think) shocked the IDF, but after the initial shock the tankers learned manuvers to lose the misslies.
the SAM batteris were destroyed by ground forces and the army learned to relay more on infantry which was opposed to the way the 1967 war was fought.
the IAF trains reguraly with western countries, including the US and defeats them in the training exercises so it's not all about equipment.
anyway, i doubt we are going to agree on this, although this discussion is intersting, lets just be happy we arn't blowing each other up anymore ;-)

ok dudes, the IAF is weak, the IAF has the worst pilots ever, it can defeat only children and women, it didn't shoot down a single enemy plane in dogfights infact all of the 687 planes that the IAF shot down since 1948 were actualy our planes that were shot down in dogfights (and we lied about it cause we're cowards)
as you can see we're a bunch of loosers who can barely fly RC planes

Please check out details of actual air to air combat between Pakistan Airforce and isreali pilots. Israeli aircraft and pilot details the Pakistanis shot down have been given to good detail on Pakistan Air force web page pafcombat.com. Pakistanis were fighting on Arab side. the number of PAF pilots was small thus made no significant contribution but managed to shoot down about 5/6 israeli aircraft without a loss of single PAF pilot. i am not against israel or anything. most disputes would settle down them selves if we humans quit this thing about wanting to grab more and becoming greedier by minutes and instead become humane,
