    "If he wants to kill himself, why not let him" is completely ignorant. If you don't value human life that doesnt mean the cops shouldn't try anything possible to save a life. Like someone mentioned, suicide is never a rational deciion, it is made in an altered state of mind and if it can be prevented, usually doesnt return.
