Welcome to MyBinding How To videos. Did you know that with your PhotoSmart 13 by Lamitek you can do foil laminating? Well, you can, and it's real easy. In just a couple of easy steps, you can create great-looking, colored, foil-embossed projects. Your PhotoSmart 13 is not only able to do 10mil in pouch thickness but it's hot enough to do foil laminating, just turn it all the way up to number nine. Your design will need to be printed on a printer that uses toner-based printing. With your design ready, you'll need to select the color or colors of foil you'll be using. All set? Let's begin. The first step is to cut foil pieces that will cover your design completely. With the color side of the foil facing up away from the design, place the whole thing into a laminating carrier. When your laminator is ready at the correct setting, place it, crease end of the carrier in first, into the machine. Allow it to process all the way through and lay it down flat and let it cool for a few minutes for the best affect. When your project is completely cooled, lift open the carrier, and gently and slowly peel back the foil. And you'll see, your project is done. It is foil and color embossed. And for a different look, you can try multiple colors. Simply cut smaller pieces and place them over the very designs you want in different colors. Run it through the Lamitek at setting number nine, open the carrier, and gently remove each level, one at a time, for different colors. It's that simple. That is how to foil laminate with your Lamitek. When image matters, we're here to help you at MyBinding.
