I went through some elaborate cutting pipes, etc on to mount a camera on the bike only to find out it's pretty fixed / wrong position...ARGGH! thanks for the idea..now to find myselft a good ol wire coat hanger.

- Yes,
a wire coat hanger will work as well. You could also wrap the wire with electrical tape, finished of with some shrink wrap for added strength. It also looks cleaner. I am glad you could put this to use, and thanks for the comment. Enjoy :)
